Bibimbap means mixed rice, and the joy of it is stirring all the colorful toppings together with a spoonful of gochujang sauce right before you eat. Each vegetable is seasoned and cooked separately, which sounds like a lot of work but moves quickly once your ingredients are prepped. A runny fried egg on top becomes part of the sauce. It is a beautiful way to eat plenty of vegetables and a great recipe for using what is in your crisper drawer.

Instructions

  1. Toss the beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil and one-third of the garlic and marinate for 15 minutes.
